Erik Pelham - co-Chair
Erik has worked with colour, light and energy his whole working life. Born in India, he is the 4th of 7 children, coming to England when he was 12 years old. He always loved colour and images and spent 17 years as a professional photographer based in Oxfordshire. He had some very powerful spiritual experiences which changed the direction of his life in 1988, and in 1993 he came to work for Aura-Soma in Lincolnshire making colour therapeutic products. Being strongly guided by Spirit he explored deeper and deeper into the Cosmic energies in his work on the Aura-Soma products. He had worked extensively on flower essence energies at first and this gave a very good grounding and education into essences in general. Sharing his insights into the Spiritual aspects of essences at world conferences gave Erik an opportunity to connect with world-wide essence producers, and this further spurred on his own work on essences.

My love for flowers as medicine grew as a child with parents who were horticulturists and keen gardeners. The world of essences was opened up to me whilst living at Findhorn, Scotland where I began to learn about them and noticed their benefits upon my own health whilst working in Physiotherapy practise. Before long, I trained as a Practitioner and worked also with several large Flower Essence companies with marketing and sales. I continue to be amazed as an Integrative health Practitioner, writing and giving inspiring talks.

Carol Rudd - E-newsletter editor
I am so grateful to the dedicated intelligent work that has gone to create BFVEA as an acceptable and accredited professional body. My interest is in stimulating dialogue about the wonderful variety of methods of making and using flower essences (and other vibrational medicines) and their underlying metaphysical assumptions - the theory and practice of flower essence therapy.
I came across the Bach remedies in the 1960's and was thrilled, in those tumultuous times, to have a means of offering mental and emotional healing. I needed to find an appropriate context, to ease, what amounted to a compulsion, of offering remedies to all and sundry. I became a Polarity Therapist (energy bodywork), an iridologist and naturopath, herbalist, and then a psychotherapist Rogers,Gestalt, Biosynthesis, Core Process, Integrative Psychotherapy always utilising an ever-growing world-wide materia medica of essences in my personal and professional life. carolrudd@paston.co.uk BFVEA members click here to see Carol's article.

Dawn White - Membership & Practitioner Officer, Tutor Member and BFVEA Webmaster
My journey started with essences at a time of trauma in my life. Finding a therapist who worked with flower essences, this wonderful vibrational tool, opened a whole new world. The changes did not happen over night however looking back, every month there were subtle changes taking place. Over the following year I started a new career in complementary therapies and it was not too long before I set up my own business. Having studied a number of therapies I am now able to help and teach others through the therapies I offer and the subjects that I teach.

Lesley Oates - Education Officer
A wonderful life led me to working with essences. A colourful montage of experiences, travel and living everyday helped along the way by discovery of Bach about twenty five years ago. Little did I realise that these amazing life forces would draw all the threads together as a practitioner and essence maker on an illuminating path to helping essences become more widely used.
In my current role at Truro College, I write and produce my own course materials including VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Flower Essence Practitioner. As part of the complementary therapies team I manage quality control for the department and internally verify assessor's performance and procedures. If you are interested in becoming a Tutor for the BFVEA or have any other questions or need help with your course please contact me.

Emma Le Monnier - Secretary
I have always loved flowers and remember making 'potions' with them from a very young age - little did I know that this was to be my first experience of flower essences. My formal discoveries started with Rescue Remedy followed by the Australian Bush Flower Essences. Having a young son at the time, it didn't take me too long to discover Indigo Essences and I loved them so much that I am now privileged to be their Channel Island distributor. My company, Harmony Healing, offers Reiki, Massage and Flower Essences and I love the work that I do! I also run short residential Flower Essence courses in Jersey for others to discover the Islands diverse flora and fauna.

Jay Carpenter - Communications Officer
Since my training in flower essences over 5 years ago, I have met and worked with many wonderful people. In the beginning I was not sure where essence work would take me, but it didn't take long for the bug to bite. I now make my own essences, harnessing the power of moonlight instead of the traditional sun method as this is what suits my energy best. As well as my own essences I also work with the Bach essences, Stewart Moss essences and a small selection of the Green Man Tree essences.
Vibrational essences complement my other skills of working with crystals and colour (I am a trainer for Colours of the Soul) and I cannot imagine not having/using essences within my work. I also have a keen interest in promoting research in not only the use of essences but the CAM world in general.

Jane Philpott - Gathering team
I've spent the last 30 years abroad, during which time I taught in a variety of schools, and run an educational consultancy business and the secretariat of an international insurance association. As the result of illness I moved into the world of energetic therapies and trained as a crystal therapist and essence practitioner. Having practised and run workshops in Luxembourg for a number of years my most recent challenge has been making an archive of ancient land and tree spirit energies in Luxembourg, Grent Härz. I am very honoured to have been given this opportunity and suspect that my precipitous move back to England has something to do with the dissemination of these energies. I am delighted to be able to offer something back to the essence community through the role of BFVEA Membership Secretary. jane.philpott@yahoo.co.uk

Veronica Williams - Officer without Portfolio/E-newsletter Cosmic Signpost
I was drawn to explore astrology in the mid 1970's, the time that the little asteroid Chiron was discovered, and then to learn as much as I could in the emerging field of holistic medicine. For the last 30 years my life has revolved around my work as a pracitioner and teacher of complementary therapies. I trained in healing and reflexology in the 1980's, qualified as a Flower 'Essence Practitioner in the early 1990's, then also embraced Reiki.

Debbie Sellwood - without portfolio
Working for many years in the IT industry, I always had a keen interest in complementary medicine and the link between the mind, body and one's health. My deep curiousity of why people behave the way they do, tookme on to study astrology. After first using flower essences with myself and my family, this expanded further after completing a course in Vibrational Medicine. I now work as a flower essence practitioner and a professional astrologer. My involvement in essences encouraged me to create my own range of essences (www.purelyessences.com). Combining both my knowledge of astrology and flower essences has resulted in my book 'Centaury for Virgo, Rock Rose for Pisces (www.debbiesellwood.com).
